OMSH. It was our last ever camp and for that sake – we partied like we never did before. Personally, I loved the camp. It was totally awesome. Okay, now for me to recount the whole three days into a short blog entry. I shall try my best even though there’s so much to talk about.
Day One: - Arrived at the front of school where people’s parents started to laugh at the fact I had two massive luggage with me. I showed everyone that everything i brought would come in handy when they all were wearing their dirty clothes and I had my new extra clean clothes to wear *shines in pride*. LOLS.
- On the bus, we had some great time playing Chinese whispers around the bus. Some of the things passed around were: 1. Yvonne Vu likes to eat poo. 2. Hi, David Le! 3. Yvonne has Alice’s bra. You can tell what fun we had on the bus ;D
- After a 3hr bus ride, we got to the campsite. We got our bags and went to our rooms. It wasn’t as big as our year9 cabin but I was still thankful that we probably had one of the biggest rooms and we only had 11 of us. So basically we had like 2 spare bunk beds for our food and clothes.
- Introduction talk/tour then we had lunch which was like a massive hotdog. It made most of the girls feel ill after it. T__T’. Afterwards, we went to start on our activities. Group 5 consisted of myself, Stephanie and Angela from the Phot!k girls. We had Benedet which was absolutely heaven ;D – she’s so cool. Our first activity was vertical challenge. It wasn’t too bad (it was entertaining to watch others do it.)
- Afternoon tea: Snow cones. Pretty self-explanatory.
- Alpine Rescue was next. It was a lot of team work which I loved. I must say that if somehow I crashed landed in some deserted island, I would love to have our grade there with us. Very smart people with logical reasoning and ideas that shall save us all.
- Showers. And damn, was it dangerous or what in the girl’s bathroom area? It was wet and muddy everywhere. Took about half an hour of waiting for our group to manage to get into showers. However, Yvonne injured herself. She feel down which left her with a bleeding elbow ><. She’s is so not good in showers as she also fell down at year 9 camp. Poor girl. All of us started screaming when we saw a possum in our cabin but we couldn’t do anything about it because it ran away. But we named it, Lowmo (combination of lolly and gizmo) Anyway, we got changed then off to dinner we went. Had spaghetti, I believe.
- DISCO DISCO. Oh gosh, It was so mad! LOVED IT. It made up for all the people that didn’t go to formal or danced. We had our glow sticks and we look totally hot. ;D. Cabin girls 17 rocked that place man! Celia = totally awesome! - Bed time: We joined the bunk beds together so it was like one massive big. Had Steph, Jen, Angela, Vicky and myself on it. Odd night as we enjoyed shaping our glowsticks into random body parts T__T.
Day Two: - First to wake up and just cleaned up the cabin. Got changed for breakfast which was eggs, toasts, cereal, etc. Afterwards we got back and got ready for our first activity. - High ropes. It was hiliarious watching Nigel fail at most of it. But in the end he tried his best. Also, when Alexander was up there, he had some very unusual calls. For example, when he was supposed to say stuff like checking and connecting?, he instead screamed out “squeezing black Nigel, touching black Nigel”.
- Morning tea: Snow cones again.
- Gully crossing. I enjoyed this quite a lot because it involved thinking, team work and hardwork. I shall thank god for letting our group have Saleh and Viausto in my group. As they did so much work and looked after everyone in the team. Our team rocked the others! (: - We got quite muddy from the area. However lunch was next, and this time it was a sandwich. After lunch, we had our crossroads sessions. The first half was quite entertaining but by the time it got to drugs and stuff (I was falling asleep). I question how that guy can talk to every single group for two hours about the same thing over and over again. He must love sex o__O and strangely, he told us that he never had a single drink in his life. That shocked me.
- Giant Swing. Everyone did an amazing job on it by going half way or more! A lot of funny screams and faces on people. I got all to the way to the top and looked down and at that moment, I was like “Holy crap, maybe I shouldn’t have went so high” but after I let go – it was totally worth it. Benedet was entertaining to watch. I believe she only wanted to go to a certain height but since most of us were controlling where she was going to get up to… in merely 10seconds, she was at the highest point, screaming at the top of her lungs. And as she let go, she started calling us dickheads. It was so awesome. xD
- Dinner was next which was chicken stew and rice. Afterwards was commando: It was cold, freezing and muddy. Gahh, I was quite sad that we missed having camp fires due to the terrible weather. But at least, we got some extra time in our cabin with lights on. When we got to our cabin we saw bits of our food had been bitten into by the possum. But we just gave it to some of the guys as they were willing to take it. T__T.
- We (Vick, Jen, Steph, Carmen, Shirley and I) decided to have an all nighter. I believed I dozed off a few times for a few minutes but was vigorously woken up by the girls. We ate and talked about some of the most random things such as plastic surgery, genital areas of both genders XD, and the people in our grade and much more stuff.
Day three: - All of us powered through with little to nothing sleep. The security guy came knocking on our door in the early morning and asked us why we woke up so early, not realizing that we didn’t have any sleep at all. Since most of us were awake, we started to pack and change for breakfast. Most of us got pulled to do the kitchen duties. That “yumyum” guy is so strange. He calls Mimi L – “James Ruse girl” because she was answering all the questions he was asking us. xD. He has some obsession with Ali – as he was telling all of us to marry him and stuff. How odd.
- After breakfast, we went back to our cabins where we finished off our packing. Cleaned up the place and pushed all the bunk beds to its original position. Our last activity was kayaking. I partnered up with Cinders. She totally rocks my world. And we both totally rock at kayaking. (; I wished we had more water activities like that. Since I can say kayaking was far most my favourite activity of the whole camp.
- We finished our camp off with a lunch which I didn’t eat as I still feeling quite full from the yucky water I consumed from kayaking but at least I haven’t died :D. Then we chucked our luggage onto the bus and off we went back to school. Most of the ride back home, people we sleeping. We had Cindy being our comedian telling us some good jokes. By the time we got back, Mina was there waiting for me. She took me home which made me realise how quiet it is without the grade.
- Aftewards, I just crashed out and caught up on some much deserved sleep. Overall, that was my camp of 2008. Loved every bit of it (: But sadly to say, it made me realise how short the time we have left until we finish high school. And it is quite depressing that some of the people that I have shared some great memories with are going to part from my life forever, if not, for quite a long time. Hence we got to appreciate every day of school with SHS 09ers. As I’m certain that I will be missing every single one of them. Anyways, no more of this depressing sentimental stuff as I just have to say that Cabin Group 17 is the best friends I shall ever have in my lifetime!
ps. CAMP WAS AWESOOMMMMMMEEE! Since we were partying to so hardcore. We didn’t manage to take many pictures. But we did take a few:

Images taken on the bus and in cabin ;D. Okay, that’s enough from me! BYEBYEBBYE. LOOOVVVEEE – MEL (:Labels: camp, everyone, photos
